Creusabro® 4800, the highest resistance to heat (up to 500°C)
From thin to thick, Creusabro® 4800 delivers unmatched formability and versatility.
Creusabro® 4800 : advanced technology in wear
Creusabro® 4800 is not just a wear plate, it's a new generation of abrasion-resistant steel that delivers up to 50% longer service life than conventional 400HB quenched steels.
What sets it apart? A unique metallurgical design combining enriched alloying elements (Cr, Ni, Mo) with specific heat treatment, and a natural TRIP*-effect (work-hardening) of +70 HB during operation.
Unlike passive steels that rely solely on initial hardness, Creusabro® 4800 activates under pressure, hardening in service to deliver superior resistance exactly where the stress occurs. Its moderate as-delivered hardness also makes it easier to cut, form, and weld, saving time and cost in fabrication.
Ideal for mining, quarrying, cement plants, steelworks, public works, and agricultural machinery, Creusabro® 4800 is ready for all types of wear: impact or sliding, dry or wet, even at temperatures up to 500°C.
