Objective
Compare the wear performance of Creusabro® Dual to 500HB water-quenched in a granite crushing application using a Mag’Impact crusher, with the goal of increasing wear life and reducing maintenance frequency in an extremely abrasive environment.
Test Conditions
- Location: Granite quarry in Modena, Italy 
- Environment: High-speed impact crushing of hard granite aggregates, creating extreme abrasive wear on internal wear plates. 
- Function: Internal protection plates in the Mag’Impact crusher, directly exposed to violent collisions with 0/50 mm granite fractions. 
- Original material: 500 HB WQ, flame cut 
- Replacement material: Creusabro® Dual, same dimensions and processing (flame cutting)
